Montreal, February 10, 2014 --- The Canadian Human Rights Commission has upheld a racial profiling complaint filed against BMO by CRARR, on behalf of an English-speaking Black bank customer, and referred the case to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal for an inquiry.

Montreal, January 22, 2014 ---Ms. Tomee Sojourner has filed for judicial review of the Quebec Administration Judicial Council’s decision to dismiss her complaint despite specific allegations of biased conduct on the part of a Rental Board judge, who repeatedly called her “him” and “Mister” during the hearing.

Montreal, December 20, 2013 --- A Black male student who was called the N-word and the target of death threat by a parent, will have to bring his case to the Quebec Human Rights Tribunal at his own expense, after the Quebec Human Rights and Youth Rights Commission investigated, decided that he was indeed a victim of racism but declined to represent him before the tribunal because his case is not “of public interest.”
